Not covered: normal wear and tear (dulling of the hand-sharpened edge over time, normal wood grain wear, minor cosmetic scratches), misuse or hard abuse (prying, hammering, throwing, or using a non-locking friction folder for heavy-duty tasks outside intended light utility cutting), water or moisture damage (warping or swelling from submerging the beechwood handle in water or washing it in a dishwasher), and unauthorized alterations (disassembling the friction ferrule ring or modifying the blade shape).
