The blade is Bohler M390MK, Microtech's in-house processed variant of Böhler M390, hardened to 60–62 HRC. At 3.70" on a drop point / upswept skinner profile, M390MK delivers edge retention and corrosion resistance that outlasts most production fixed blade steels in a blade geometry that handles EDC utility as readily as outdoor processing tasks. The flat grind stonewash finish keeps the geometry efficient and the surface resistant to wear marking in daily carry. At 0.114" blade thickness, this is a slicer, not a chopper — the Akris is built for controlled cutting tasks, not batoning.

The handle is dark earth brown G-10 with textured non-slip machining — a grip surface that holds under wet or gloved hands without the aggressive edges of a fully milled pattern. At 4.49" handle length and 4.00 oz without sheath, the Akris carries closer to a large folding knife than a traditional fixed blade. The included handcrafted dark chocolate leather sheath is made in North Carolina — not injection-molded Kydex, not overseas leather. The sheath adds 2.80 oz to the carry weight and is designed for belt loop carry.
