The Morakniv Amberg Full Flat Hunting (S) is a stainless hunting knife made in Mora, Sweden, for skinning, field dressing, and processing game, with a full flat grind that also handles camp cooking and light carving.
14C28N is a Swedish stainless steel from Alleima, hardened and cryogenically treated to 58 HRC. It is known for taking a fine edge, sharpening easily, and resisting rust, which suits a knife that will be cleaned often after contact with blood and moisture. The 4.25" blade has a full flat grind with a secondary bevel, inspired by kitchen knives, for low friction and clean, controlled cuts when skinning and dressing game.

- Handle: TPE over a PP core, with a flatter shape and narrower front for a pinch grip, spine ridges for precision work, a finger guard, and a lanyard hole.
- Sheath: Ambidextrous burnt orange Click-On sheath with belt loop, plus a Click-On Mount for attaching the knife to a pack, bike, ATV, boat, or other gear.

The standard Amberg (S) uses 12C27 steel with a Scandi grind for carving and has a ferro rod-compatible spine. The Amberg (S), 14549, is also available at Knifeworks.
Can I use the Amberg Full Flat Hunting with a ferro rod?＋
No. Morakniv notes that this knife is not ferro rod compatible because its spine is polished. If you need a ferro rod-compatible spine, the Scandi-ground Amberg models are designed for it.
