Designed from the ground up to be overbuilt and then proven in every terrain and every condition the Special Operations community could throw at it, the Steel Eagle is not the kind of knife that earns its reputation in a display case. The TPSE105C250 is the America 250th Anniversary edition — a commemorative version of the Hunter's Point with Sawback that marks 250 years of the United States with the official "United States of America 250, Est. 1776" medallion etched directly into the blade. The gray Micarta handle sets this version apart from the standard black linen Micarta, giving it a cleaner, more refined look while retaining every bit of the platform's hard-use DNA.
The blade is a full quarter-inch thick 1095 carbon steel Hunter's Point, 5 inches long, heat treated to RC 56-58, with a black traction coating for non-reflective performance in field conditions. The sawback spine adds a survival tool that has earned its place on the Steel Eagle since the beginning — saw teeth for notching wood and bone, useful when you need more than a cutting edge. Full tang construction runs the length of the gray Micarta handle with a lanyard hole at the pommel and lashing holes in the extended tang for tying to a rod and using as a survival spear. Every Steel Eagle is hand finished at TOPS' facility in the Rocky Mountains.
The knife ships with a black Kydex sheath and a rotating spring steel clip that handles multiple carry positions. At 9.75 inches overall and 9.95 ounces this is a working fixed blade that carries without becoming a burden. Made in the USA.
