The gray Micarta handle sets this apart from the standard black linen version — a cleaner look on a knife that has never needed to be anything but capable.
The 7.5-inch Hunter's Point blade is a quarter-inch thick 1095 carbon steel, heat treated to RC 56-58, with TOPS' black traction coating for non-reflective performance when reflection is not an option. The Hunter's Point geometry delivers a strong, versatile tip with enough belly for effective slicing and enough mass behind it for hard use without compromise. Finger grooves and thumbrest notches are cut directly into the handle for positive indexing in every grip position. Full tang construction runs the length of the gray Micarta handle with a lanyard hole at the pommel and tang notches for a secure grip under pressure. Hand finished at TOPS' facility in the Rocky Mountains, USA.
The knife ships with a black ballistic nylon sheath with Kydex liner — proven carry that keeps the knife secure and accessible. At this blade length the Storm Rider occupies the space between a field knife and a fighting knife, capable in both roles without being optimized for either at the expense of the other.
