Product Description
The Case Peanut 75314 is a two blade slipjoint on the 6220 pattern, one of Case's smallest and most enduringly popular patterns. Named for its compact, rounded profile, the Peanut has earned a reputation among collectors as an easy knife to start a collection with and a hard one to stop collecting. At 2.88" closed and 1.20 oz, it disappears into a pocket while still delivering two full-function blades.
Both blades are Tru-Sharp Surgical Steel, Case's proprietary 420HC stainless formula hardened to 54–57 HRC. Tru-Sharp resists corrosion in everyday carry conditions without the patina management carbon steel requires, while still sharpening readily on a standard stone or ceramic rod. The 2.13" clip point serves as the master blade for precision slicing and detail work. The 1.5" pen blade is a smaller secondary blade suited to light utility tasks. Both blades carry a mirror polish finish and open manually via nail nick.
The handle scales are yellow Platts jigged cattle bone, a finer, more tightly packed jig pattern than standard corn cob or peach seed that produces a grip texture between smooth and aggressively textured. The yellow dye on genuine cattle bone means each handle carries natural variation no synthetic material can replicate. High-polished nickel silver bolsters and a nickel silver oval script Case shield inlay complete the hardware. Brass liners support the construction throughout.
Made in Bradford, Pennsylvania by W.R. Case & Sons since 1889. Ships same or next business day from Knifeworks in Columbia, Louisiana.
