The blade is ground from CPM MagnaCut at 63-64 HRC — Crucible's particle metallurgy stainless steel engineered by Dr. Larrin Thomas to deliver edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance simultaneously, without the tradeoffs that define conventional stainless grades. At 63-64 HRC this is among the hardest CPM MagnaCut production blades available, delivering edge retention that outlasts virtually every other folding knife steel at this hardness. The tanto profile combines a primary edge optimized for general cutting tasks with a secondary edge and reinforced tip geometry that handles penetration and hard-use tasks without the tip fragility that limits conventional point profiles. The hollow grind with stonewashed finish keeps the blade geometry light and sliceable while the wash finish resists showing field wear.

The handle is machined from 6AL4V titanium with a gray finish and 0.47" thickness — substantial enough for a full, secure grip without the bulk that makes a heavy folder impractical for carry. The Reeve Integral Lock has been modified for the Umnumzaan platform to deliver increased blade strength and improved pivot and lock tolerances over the standard RIL configuration.
