The Hogue Ballista II puts CPM MagnaCut into a compact 2.6" bayonet blade that fires open at the press of a button. A 6061-T6 aluminum frame keeps the whole knife at just 2.0 oz.
CPM MagnaCut is a powder-metallurgy stainless steel built to pair the edge retention of high-carbon tool steels with strong corrosion resistance. Hogue hardens it to 62-64 HRC with a cryogenic heat treatment, then flat grinds and hand hones the edge under a black PVD finish. For daily carry, that means fewer trips to the sharpener and a blade that handles sweat and humidity well. The bayonet profile gives you a fine, centered point for detail work.
