The 2-tone finish on the SBR LG405 combines stonewashed bevels with machine satin flats. The stonewash on the bevels creates a matte, wear-resistant surface that hides scratches and reduces glare on the cutting edge geometry. The machine satin on the flats produces a smoother, slightly reflective finish that contrasts cleanly with the stonewash and highlights the blade's flat geometry. The combination is both functional and visually distinctive.

CPM-S35VN is a Crucible Particle Metallurgy stainless steel that has become a benchmark for production carry knives. It delivers a well-balanced combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance — holding a working edge through extended daily use while remaining straightforward to sharpen with standard equipment. It improves on CPM-S30V with better toughness and easier sharpening without giving up meaningful edge retention.

Hard coat anodizing is an electrochemical process that converts the outer layer of aluminum into a dense aluminum oxide coating. It is significantly harder and more wear-resistant than standard anodizing, providing better scratch resistance and durability for a handle that sees daily carry and use. On the SBR LG405, the hard coat anodized black finish is applied over 6061-T6 aluminum that has been CNC milled with a grip texture pattern on the spine.
