The Lil' Native uses Spyderco's Compression Lock, built into the nested stainless steel liners. When the knife is open, a leaf spring in the liner wedges between the blade tang and the stop pin. You release it from the spine side of the handle with one hand, which keeps your fingers out of the blade's path as it closes.

The Lil' Native brings the ergonomics of Spyderco's Native into a more compact folder with a 2.47-inch blade and a 3.47-inch closed length. A forward finger choil lets you choke up on the blade, so you still get a secure, full grip on a small knife.

CPM S30V is an American particle metallurgy stainless steel developed specifically for knife blades, with a balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating gives the blade a non-reflective finish and adds a hard surface layer over the steel.

The C230GPBBK has a 2.47-inch blade with a full-flat grind, so it slices cleanly for opening packages, breaking down boxes, cutting cord, and light food prep. At 2.5 ounces with a blade under 2.5 inches, it is a practical everyday carry where blade length matters.
