The Para Military 2 uses Spyderco's Compression Lock, built into the nested stainless steel liners. When the knife is open, a leaf spring in the liner wedges between the blade tang and the stop pin. You release it from the spine side of the handle with one hand, which keeps your fingers out of the blade's path as it closes.

CPM S45VN is a powder metallurgy stainless steel from Crucible, developed as an advance on CPM S35VN with added niobium for a fine, tough structure. It balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, holds a working edge through daily use, and sharpens well on diamond or ceramic abrasives.

The black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating gives the blade a non-reflective finish and adds a hard surface layer over the steel. It helps the blade keep its low-glare look through everyday use.

The C81GPBK2 has a 3.44-inch clip point blade with a full-flat grind, so it slices cleanly for opening packages, breaking down boxes, cutting cord, and food prep, while the clip point handles detail work. At 3.9 ounces with a full-size handle, it gives solid control in a mid-size folder.

The C81GPBK2 ships as a knife with its four-position pocket clip installed. It is knife only, with no sheath included. Packaging and included items are set by Spyderco and are subject to change.
