The Bodacious uses Spyderco's Compression Lock, built into the skeletonized stainless steel liners nested inside the G-10 scales. When the knife is open, a leaf spring in the liner wedges between the blade tang and the stop pin. You release it from the spine side of the handle with one hand, which keeps your fingers out of the blade's path as it closes.

Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser designed the Bodacious. It is named after a famous American bucking bull, and Spyderco built it as a sturdy folding knife for reliable everyday use, with a stainless steel backspacer and nested liners for structural strength.

CPM S30V is an American particle metallurgy stainless steel developed specifically for knife blades, with a balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. On this knife it is hardened to 61-62 HRC and finished in satin. It holds a working edge through hard use and resists rust in everyday carry.

The C263GP has a broad 3.63-inch leaf-shaped blade with a 3.53-inch PlainEdge and a full-flat grind, so it slices cleanly through boxes, rope, strapping, and food. The point stays useful for detail work, and the smooth G-10 handle slides easily in and out of a pocket.

The C263GP ships as a knife with its reversible pocket clip installed. It is knife only, with no sheath or lanyard included. Packaging and included items are set by Spyderco and are subject to change.
