The MicroJimbo C264GPCBL takes Michael Janich's Yojimbo 2 and scales it down to a 2.45" Wharncliffe folder that keeps the full-size design's critical proportions. It fits smaller hands and pockets and deploys just like the larger knife.
This version carries a blade in CPM SPY27, Spyderco's proprietary powder metallurgy stainless steel. Spyderco describes it as an improved take on VG-10, with vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen added and cobalt as its signature element. Spyderco says the result balances edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, so it holds a working edge well and still sharpens without much fuss. Hardened to 60-62 HRC, the 0.145" blade has a full-flat grind and a satin finish, so the straight edge slices cleanly right out to the point.

What lock does the Spyderco MicroJimbo C264GPCBL use?＋
The MicroJimbo uses Spyderco's Compression Lock, built into the nested stainless steel liners. When the knife is open, a leaf spring in the liner wedges between the blade tang and the stop pin. You release it from the spine side of the handle with one hand, which keeps your fingers out of the blade's path as it closes.
