The YoJumbo C253GPCBL is Michael Janich's scaled-up take on his trendsetting Yojimbo 2. It's more than 20 percent larger, with refined ergonomics for a wider range of hand sizes. This version renders its Wharncliffe blade in CPM SPY27 with coarse peel-ply-textured cobalt blue G-10, one of the signature colors of Spyderco's SPY27 family.
CPM SPY27 is Spyderco's proprietary, cobalt-enriched particle metallurgy stainless steel, exclusive to Spyderco knives. Spyderco says it delivers an outstanding balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. The 0.145" blade is deeply hollow ground for a thin, keen edge, and its perfectly straight Wharncliffe edge runs the full 3.98" blade length, carrying cutting power all the way to the tip.
