The Sonoma takes its name from Sonoma County, which lies just north of GiantMouse's original headquarters in Marin County, California — known for rolling hills, vineyards, and over 250 wineries. It is a fitting name for a knife this refined. The ACE Sonoma represents GiantMouse's first frame lock in the ACE line, and it is everything the platform has been building toward — longer, slimmer, and more premium in execution than anything else in the ACE catalog. Much of the inspiration came from the GiantMouse GM3, a sleek gentleman's folder which was very well received when it launched in 2017. The Black PVD version takes that already-premium baseline and pushes it into fully blacked-out gentleman's EDC territory.

The 3.4-inch drop point blade is ground from Böhler M390 MICROCLEAN stainless steel with a stonewash finish on the PVD variant. M390 at approximately 61 HRC delivers outstanding edge retention and excellent corrosion resistance — the same steel you find on knives costing significantly more, here applied to a blade geometry that excels at slicing, detail work, and everyday cutting tasks. The flipper tab fires the blade open via a precision ball bearing pivot for fast, repeatable deployment. The titanium frame lock provides rock-solid blade retention during use, engaging directly off the titanium handle frame for a lockup that is both strong and mechanically clean.

The contoured titanium handle scales are finished in black PVD stonewash and equipped with GiantMouse's milled titanium skeletonized clip — designed to mimic the flex and feel of a wire clip while delivering the strength of titanium. Anodized titanium pivot collars and backspacer are details normally reserved for GiantMouse's limited edition GM line — here brought to the ACE platform in a significant step up from the rest of the series. Each Sonoma ships with both a standard milled titanium clip and a deep-carry pocket clip, giving you two carry options out of the box.
