The MicroJimbo Salt uses Spyderco's Compression Lock, built into the nested, skeletonized, black-coated liners. When the knife is open, a leaf spring in the liner wedges between the blade tang and the stop pin. You release it from the spine side of the handle with one hand, which keeps your fingers out of the blade's path as it closes.

Spyderco's Salt Series uses highly corrosion-resistant materials throughout. On the MicroJimbo Salt, the CPM MagnaCut blade has a black DLC coating, and the liners, clip, and hardware have low-profile black coatings. Rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it after salt exposure to keep it in top condition.

Michael Janich designed the MicroJimbo to concentrate the key qualities of his Yojimbo 2 into a smaller knife, with a 2.45-inch Wharncliffe blade and a 3.80-inch closed length. It keeps the straight Wharncliffe edge, Compression Lock, and Round Hole opening in a more compact package.

CPM MagnaCut is a powder metallurgy stainless steel designed to balance toughness, edge retention, and very high corrosion resistance. The black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating gives the blade a non-reflective finish and adds a hard surface layer over the steel.

The C264GMCBKP ships as a knife with its reversible deep-pocket wire clip installed. It is knife only, with no sheath included. Packaging and included items are set by Spyderco and are subject to change.
