CPM MagnaCut is a powder metallurgy stainless steel designed by Dr. Larrin Thomas to balance edge retention, toughness, and high corrosion resistance, which makes it a natural fit for Spyderco's Salt series. Spyderco full-flat grinds the leaf-shaped blade and coats it in non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC). The black G-10 scales carry a peel-ply texture machined in Spyderco's Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a secure grip, and the clip and hardware share the non-reflective black finish.
